chaotic, clichéd, semi-procedural, serial killer flick starring Alex Scott and De Niro. not bad but nothing we haven't seen before. cast probably rescues it (oh yeah Michael Keaton also turns up, which is nice.)

appeared to be billed as a horror, a slightly bizarre and grotesque dark comedy about the step-mother who comes to stay in the front room. another saved by the cast, Kathryn Hunter is amazing.

love Agatha Christie, haven't read the original of this so don't know how it holds up. plot was a tad convoluted, but Mia McKenna-Bruce, Martin Freeman, and Helena Bonham Carter were amazing.
