the dinosaur on the bench

UPDATE!

before the ink had even dried on my report, our friendly plastic dinosaur expert, Polyducks himself, activated and produced this excellent analysis of the find!

first up we have an accurate digital reconstruction of the scene:

as the species was previously unknown to our dinosaur expert, the team have quickly rallied around to agree on an official scientific name for the new specimen:

Sedesaur Plasticum (commonly known as Benchosaur)

significance

although i'd like to imagine i've unearthed some crucial missing link in the fossil record, scientists now believe it to be much more likely that i pinched the orange dinosaur from a random kid who's into the new Paw Patrol movie. (oh, sorry kid... check my website.)
